Who are we?

The Lighthouse Club (TLC) is a Christ-centered ministry led by Gregg and Josephine Clarkson, serving youth and vulnerable children in Fort Portal, Uganda.
What began in 2008 with Gregg’s first mission trip has grown into a church-anchored youth ministry, officially partnered with Calvary Chapel Fort Portal since 2022. Together with Josephine, Gregg has combined discipleship, mentorship, education, and vocational training to reach and empower Uganda’s youth.

Looking ahead, TLC is establishing a U.S. based nonprofit to strengthen accountability, fundraising, and global partnerships while supporting local ministry arms like the one in Fort Portal.

The Story Behind The Lighthouse

Gregg was saved later in life after a season of brokenness and homelessness in California.
The Lord called him into missions with a heart for youth and the vulnerable.

Key scriptures that guide his call include Colossians 3:16, Acts 2:42, Psalm 119, and John 18:36–37.

Today, the ministry stands on a Gospel-first focus — testifying to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, discipling young people, and building sustainable communities.
